Mooncake Boxes and Miscellany
A Hoarding Archival
The Lunar New Year in Singapore has historically been a time of gift giving, especially in regard to Mooncakes, a seasonal delicacy. Over the years institutions such as hotels and restaurants packaged these cakes in increasingly elaborate boxes to attract customers.

The Wu Household is one such family who has not only acquired many of these boxes. but has used them to store various objects and miscellany over the years. My research has led me to believe these objects may give us insight into their lives and thought process. Perhaps understanding the clutter of this family will lead to greater Anthropological discussion regarding the clutter and storage decisions of other families.
